ClickTime FAQs
Most tools give you a log of hours. ClickTime structures every entry by project, client, cost center, and work type—so you get finance-ready labor cost data, not a spreadsheet to clean up.
Yes. The ClickTime mobile app lets employees create expense sheets, snap photos of receipts, and log mileage on the go. Expenses sync automatically, so nothing gets lost between the road and the office.
This typically happens when the employee wasn’t assigned the ClickTime app in Rippling. Assigning the app triggers provisioning, so confirm it’s included in their profile and that their Rippling status is set to Active. If assignment and status look correct, check that the Rippling–ClickTime connection is still authorized.

ClickTime offers multiple entry methods (automation through calendar and Jira integrations with Smart Match, and more on the way, ClickTime’s mobile app and web time tracker), pre-filled categories, and reminders. The whole ClickTime team uses the software we build everyday, so we make sure it’s simple and functional.
Yes. Custom fields let you tag time entries by activity type, project phase, or any classification your tax advisor requires. Approval workflows and audit trails provide the defensible documentation auditors need.
Administrators can update the mileage rate at any time. When updating, you'll have the option to apply the new rate to existing unapproved expense sheets or only to future entries—giving you control over how the change is applied.
