CLICKTIME.COM ANNOUNCES DATA INTEGRATION WITH QUICKBOOKS™
-- Enhanced Data Export Capability Included in Latest Release --
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- October 2, 2000 -- Clicktime.com, a leading application service provider, today announced the release of ClickTime 1.46, including a beta version of data export compatible with QuickBooks™.
Integration with Popular Accounting Tools
As part of this latest release of ClickTime, users can export data
from ClickTime's central servers to their local computers in a format
compatible with QuickBooks. "A timesheet tool is really useful when
the data can be seamlessly integrated with accounting programs,"
said Alex Mann, CEO of clicktime.com. "A large percentage of our
customers are using QuickBooks; now they'll be able to get their
timesheet data directly into their accounting software for invoicing
and other functions."
In addition to QuickBooks, this data export will be compatible with other software that can read Intuit's "IIF" format.
Additional Custom Data Fields
To facilitate this integration, custom "accounting code" fields
have been added for most objects in the ClickTime system. These
appear only in the export data and help translate between "easy
to read" names as they appear in ClickTime and the "accounting codes"
which often are used by accountants.
New Personal Reporting, Other Features
With the release of this version, every user in ClickTime can run
personal reports. These reports will help users know their own time
allocation and billable work, and will let them print their own
timesheets covering any time period. "This new 'My Reports' section
is as easy to use as the rest of ClickTime," says Mann. "By putting
this feature within reach of every ClickTime user, we expect them
to be better able to manage their own performance."
